- Amphoe Muang
- Shrines of Chao Por Kud Pong and tutelary spirit of
the city : Located close to the Kud Pong Public Park,
about 100 meters away from the fountain circle. Very respected
by Loei people.
- Kud Pong Public Park: Situated behind the
shrine of Chao Por Kud Pong, surrounded by a ditch and decorated
by a variety of beautiful flowers. Ideal for rest and exercise.
- Chalerm Phra Kiat Park: Located opposite
to the municipality on a 28 rai plot of land. Close to the Loei
river. Quiet and peaceful. Idea for relaxation.
- Arts & Culture Center: Housed in the
Rajaphat Institute on route 201 (Loei-Chiang Kan). Arts, Cultural,
Traditional object, religious folklore as well as Loei people's
way of living are displayed here
- Upper Huai Nam Mahn and Huai Krating Reservoirs:
Wonderful scenery. Rafting available. About 15 Km. away from
downtown.
- Kuan Pha Lom Natural Park: Kuan Pha Lom,
a group of mountains located in Tambol Nam Suai, Amphoe Muang
is idea for cliff climbing and forest trekking. Three larg caves,
Tham Lom, Tham Luang, and Tham Pha Bong, annually attract a
lot of tourists to the park. No facilities available. Camping
is alright.
- Cloth Weaving Center at Ban Kang Pla: Located
in Ban Kang Pla on Loei-Chiang Kan Rd. Approximately five km.
from town. Daily weaving exhibition. Clothes and cloth products
available at reasonable prices.
- Wat Tham Pha Pu: Known as Tham Phiang Din
for villagers. Visitors could appreciate wonderful stalagmite
and stalactite.
- Amphoe Chiang Kan
- Wat Si Khun Muang: Situated in soi 7, Chai
Kong Rd. founded in 1942 by Phra Kru Buddi and his followers,
the temple displays the Lanna and Lan Chang arts and houses
a beautiful ordination hall.
- Wat Ta Khaek: An ancient temple located close
to the Mekong, about 2 Km. from the office of chiang kan district.
The monastery houses three over 300 year old holy Buddha images.
- Wat Phra Buddha Bath Phu Kwai Ngern: Situated
in Ban U-muang, Tambol Bu-Hom on Chiang Kan- Pak Chom. About
10 Km. form town. Visitors could see the Buddha's footprint
(120 cm. long and 65 cm. wide).
- Kaeng Kud Ku: Located in the middle of the
Mekong, about 50 Km. from town on Loei-Chiang Kan rd. Comprising
clusters of rocks with wonderful colors. Obvious from February
to May. Boating service available.
- Phu Tok: From a top Phu Tok, Visitors could
appreciate a wonderful view of Muang Chiang Kan, the Mekong,
Laos and a sunset.
- Thai Dam Cultural Village: Situated in Ban Na Pa Nat, Tambol
Khao Kaew, about 48 Km. from town on Loei-Chiang Kan rd. Tourists
could experience the Thai Dam villagers' way of living. Cloth
weaving exhibition and local products available. For home stay,

- Sirindhon Arts Center: Housed in Si Songkram
Vithya School. Accessible via route 201 (Loei-Wang Sapung)
The 6 rai center displays children's arts and local culture
and tradition, Daily open during working hours.
- Buddha's Footprint at Pha Bing Cave: housed
in Wat Tham Pha Bing. Tambol Na Kae. about 9 Km. away from
the office of Wang Sapung district.
